Mill Chase School, an established local school will be relocated into our new neighbourhood in a new purpose built facility with a six court indoor sports hall.
The Bordon Junior School will be expanded and a new primary school built to meet the growing needs of the town.
There will also be a day nursery located on the development.
Business is vital for the future of Whitehill & Bordon. We will create an environment for a range of skilled, semi-skilled and service related jobs. This will be a great place to do business, and our aim is to create over 3,000 jobs. We will build on the heritage of engineering and promote social enterprise and entrepreneurship.
We want to ensure the creation of a vibrant long-lasting town centre with a variety of shops, cafes, community and commercial business space.
Getting in and out of the town centre will be made easier, with the introduction of a new transport hub. There will be an enhanced bus service to the surrounding villages and road networks.
Our vision for the town centre will be revealed this Autumn and we will seek you opinions to help us shape this key element of the Masterplan.
A key feature of the scheme is its natural setting, green areas and parks and leisure facilities. We’re particularly delighted that the Hogmore Inclosure, 54 hectares of strategic woodland and heathland will be home for a variety of wildlife, and an area for local people to enjoy with supporting car parking, picnic areas, footpaths and cycleways.
We will launch a Community Arts Project, as part of the overall improvements, to design a number of installations for the area and is encouraging the local community to get involved.
Children and adults can help to design a number of totem poles and sculptures that will be influenced by the local area. These will be placed at entranceways and seating areas around the site.
Jamie Cummins, Countryside Ranger with the Deadwater Valley Trust, said: "It’s great that we’re looking after Whitehill & Bordon’s fantastic natural environments and I can’t wait to see what Hogmoor Inclosure is going to look like when the improvements are finished."
Other leisure space that will be created or enhanced includes:
- The construction of a new six lane swimming pool and indoor leisure centre
- Creation of new parks, natural green space, children’s play areas and allotments
- Improvements to existing football, cricket pitches and the BOSC Pavilion

- A new relief road taking through traffic around Whitehill & Bordon

- A31/A325 Coxbridge Roundabout
- A325/School Hill Mini-roundabout
- B3004 Mill Lane/Ashdell Road
- A325 The Street/B3384 Echo Barn Lane
- Providing a traffic management plan for surrounding villages
- An enhanced bus service, stops and shelters to the development and local area
- A new green loop - pedestrian and cycle route improvements in the locality
- A travel plan for the development offering detailed information on all the transport options available and setting out how these will be managed
